Field notes · Volume 01

The work leaves a record.

Short, dated notes about decisions, limitations and the practices that sit behind the public pages. These are editorial notes, not peer-reviewed research.

01 · Publishing practice · Owner attribution pending

A candidate is not a release

A file can be prepared, packaged and technically sound while remaining unapproved. “Edition in preparation” describes the present work; it does not advertise a sale, assigned identifier or publication date.

02 · House practice · Owner attribution pending

Status is part of the evidence

A venture page should not make visitors infer whether a product exists. Live, pilot, in development, research preview and forthcoming are different public claims. Naming the correct one is part of the work.

03 · Research practice · Owner attribution pending

A boundary is not an omission

A source can be useful without being complete, and a method can be responsible without producing a universal conclusion. Stating where the evidence stops protects the reader from a stronger claim than the record can carry.

04 · Editorial governance · Owner attribution pending

A correction keeps the record intact

Quietly replacing a released statement destroys its history. A responsible record dates substantive changes, identifies the corrected version and preserves enough context for a reader to understand what changed.

Journal standard

Attributable. Dated. Correctable.

These candidate release notes remain visibly unattributed until the owner approves a responsible contributor. Future editorial entries require a named contributor, genre label, publication and update dates, sources where claims depend on them, and a visible correction history.
