· Candidate statement

The crossing should remain open.

The current site is designed for keyboard access, readable reflow and reduced motion. This statement distinguishes source-level measures from conformance claims that have not been verified.

01

Structure

The build includes a skip link, page landmarks, ordered headings, labelled navigation and descriptive destination text. Current public pages do not contain an account, contact form or checkout.

02

Keyboard and focus

Navigation uses native links and disclosure controls intended to work without a pointer. Visible focus styling is included so keyboard position can be followed.

03

Reflow and motion

Responsive layouts are provided for narrower screens, and the style layer removes non-essential transition and animation time when a visitor requests reduced motion.

04

Images and decoration

Meaningful catalogue imagery has text alternatives. Repeated brand or purely decorative imagery may use an empty alternative or be hidden from assistive technology.

05

Conformance boundary

No formal WCAG conformance level or independent accessibility audit is claimed on this page. Browser, zoom, screen-reader and keyboard testing should be recorded before a stronger claim is made.

06

Reading choices

Reading options offers a separate dyslexia-friendly presentation using Bidbont Read, alongside Arial and your device’s sans-serif. Text size, weight, line length, spacing and page colour can be adjusted. No single font suits every reader, and no clinical benefit or reader-study result is claimed. The standard content remains available without JavaScript; browser zoom remains supported.

07

Feedback limitation

An approved public correspondence channel has not yet been opened. Visitors therefore do not yet have a published route to request an alternative format or report a barrier; resolving that is an owner-input requirement.

When a feedback route opens: it should ask only for the page, the barrier and any useful device or browser detail—not unnecessary personal or medical information.
